Bengaluru: Coronavirus pandemic has killed thousands of people while affecting lakhs.

The pandemic continues to spread its tentacles and bring hell to the people.

India too, sadly, has not been able to escape the dreaded virus.

As of today (March 28) India has 903 affected people while 21 are reported to have died.

But under Modi’s care and concern, health officials continue to work round the clock, helping keep the citizens safe.

Meanwhile, there are reports that the government has placed orders for 40,000 ventilators, as reported by Hindustan Times.

Joint Secretary in the Health Ministry Lav Agarwal said that the Ministry has asked a “PSU to make 10,000 ventilators and another 30,000 will come from Bharat Electricals, a PSU under the Defence Ministry,” the paper adds.

The website also added that cabinet secretary Rajiv Gauba has warned the chief secretaries of all states over the big gap in the number of international passengers who should have been monitored, and the actual number of such passengers. He underscored that the gap in this regard could "seriously jeopardise our efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19."
