Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli said: “Real Ayodhya lies in Nepal, not in India. Lord Ram is Nepali not Indian.”

Bengaluru: After usurping Indian territories by amending its map, Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has come up with another bizarre comment.

As quoted by Nepali media, he said: “Real Ayodhya lies in Nepal, not in India. Lord Ram is Nepali not Indian.”

He was also reported as saying that India has encroached upon the cultural heritage of Nepal by setting up 'fake Ayodhya'.

Such statements have not earned Oli Sharma any plaudits. In fact, his own countrymen have slammed him for his comments and have distanced themselves from it.

Back home in India as well, his statements have been criticised, including by the Indian Youth Congress. It tweeted saying, “First they ban Indian news channels and now Nepal has the guts to say Lord Rama is not son of Indian soil.”

But the Congress issuing such statements is laughable because the Congress has always had scorn for Hindus and Lord Ram.

It had once said in the SC thus: “Valmiki Ramayana and Ramcharitmanas admittedly form an important part of ancient Indian literature, but these cannot be said to be historical records to incontrovertibly prove the existence of the characters and occurrences of events depicted therein.”

Oli has been making such incendiary remarks, with an eye to put down India.

Many speculate that Oli is acting on the whims and fancies of China, but he is facing a lot of heat from his own party members and economists.

Nepali economist Dr Posh Raj Pandey had said, "Nepal-India relations should not be allowed to damage and there is a need for early negotiations and a dialogue to resolve the issue at the earliest".

While Oli keeps committing such blunders, China has entered Nepal as well, by usurping its territories.
"In a massive departure from its diplomatic stand of non-interference, the Chinese have completely occupied Rui Village and the residents comprising around 72 houses are fighting for their original identity. This also shows how Nepal's current regime has surrendered to China and is now making anti-India statements and resorting to anti-India activities,” a website had quoted then.
