Former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu, may have to vacate his present residence at Undavalli, which is located on the banks of the Krishna river in Amaravati

Vijayawada: The YSR Congress may be the root cause for Telugu Desam Party president and leader of opposition N Chandrababu Naidu having to vacate his present residence at Undavalli, which is on the banks of the Krishna river in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.

YSR Congress MLA from Mangalagiri Alla Ramakrishna Reddy hinted at the TDP leader’s eviction. Reddy said he had been fighting against illegal constructions on the banks of the Krishna river and the issue is presently in the high court.

“The present building where Naidu has been staying on rent for the last five years is also an illegal construction. My fight against all the illegal constructions would continue till they are all demolished. I will not rest till Naidu’s house too will be demolished and he is evicted from his house,” the MLA said.

Reddy further went on to say that he found it ridiculous that Naidu makes tall claims about Amaravati, but has no permanent house in the capital region.

“While our party president and chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has bought a piece of land and constructed a permanent residence at Tadepalli, Naidu still has no house in Amaravati. He has no moral right to talk about Jagan’s residential status,” he said.

Reddy said he did not know the reasons for stalling constructions in Amaravati.

“We did not ask them to stop. They should only disclose the reasons for stalling the works under the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) limits. If they have any doubts, they should approach the government,” he said.

The MLA feigned ignorance about the reports that he was being made the chairman of APCRDA. “As far as my knowledge goes, the CRDA will be headed by the chief minister,” he said.
