Sharjeel Imam, who has been arrested for his ‘break-India’ comment has confessed that he wants to see India Islamised.

Bengaluru: The worst fears have come true!

Member of Tukde Tukde Gang Sharjeel Imam who sought severing of Assam from the rest of India during the Shaheen Bagh protests, was arrested and now is in police custody.

Details are now emerging that Sharjeel Imam has confessed to the police that he wants India to be Islamised. Sources add that Imam is a highly radicalised person who spreads such incendiary remarks so as to divide the nation.

Sources further add that Sharjeel Imam has confirmed that the statements he made during the protests are his own and the video which confirms it is not doctored.

The police are now investigating if Imam has contacts with fanatic Muslim organisations which give an impetus to such feelings of zealotry.

Additionally, the police are also scrutinising his social media accounts to understand his behaviour and see if it acts a gateway to plunder more information about his ‘break-India’ dispensation.

In the video, Sharjeel Imam is heard saying, "If we have 5 lakh organised people then we can permanently cut north-east from India or at least for one month. Put so much (unclear) on the road that they cannot even remove it for a month. It is our responsibility to isolate Assam from India, then only they will listen to us."

He further added, "Do you know what is happening to Assamese Muslims? NRC is already applied there, they have been put in detention centers. We may come to know that in 6-8 months all Bengalis have been killed - Hindu or Muslim. If we want to help Assam, then we will have to stop the way to Assam for the Indian Army and other supplies."

While the protests against CAA go on, all that the CAA does is to grant citizenship to persecuted minorities of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh who have been residing in India hitherto December 31, 2014. What is essentially a one-time offer to integrate the minorities socially and emotionally with India is being seen as divisive and communal.
