Bhumi puja at Ayodhya: Hindu temples in North America to hold prayers to celebrate event

Several Hindu temples across North America will be holding prayers to celebrate the historic bhumi puja at Ayodhya 
 

Bengaluru: With the historic bhumi puja of Ram temple at Ayodhya to take place on August 5 from none other than from Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself, Hindus and Hindu temples across the globe are all gung-ho about it! 

In the latest news that is being reported, several Hindu temples across North America will be holding prayers to commemorate the event. 

As per a popular website, on the auspicious occasion, the temples across the US, Canada and Caribbean Islands will join in offering seva (service) at the “Lotus feet” of Lord Rama on the eve of the Ram Mandir reconstruction poojan (prayer), the statement said.

“For a joyful global Hindu community, the historic ceremony on August 5, 2020, marks the ushering of a new era. We should cherish and celebrate this day as a festival now, and forever in the future,” Pandit Krishna Kumar Pandey, founder, president and Acharya of the Shiv Durga Temple in Bay Area, California was quoted as saying.

The Indian-American community in New York is also planning to celebrate the historic moment. 

Images of Lord Ram and 3D portraits of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya will be beamed across the giant billboards at the iconic Times Square in New York to celebrate the bhumi puja.

With the announcement of the bhumi puja, the temple city has been given a complete facelift. 

Foolproof security for PM

Security has been tightened for PM Modi’s visit after there were inputs from the intelligence agencies that there could be a terrorist attack. Checking is being conducted at the city borders. Modi will land on the helipad made at Saket Degree college.

The path that Modi will take on his way to Hanumangarhi, the houses on both sides of that road have been painted yellow and the pictures related to Ram Katha are being readied. One lakh packets of Prasad of four ladoos each will be distributed.
