CPI(M) Kerala secretary Kodiyeri Balkrishnan's oldest son Binoy Vinodini Balakrishnan told media that he knows the woman who filed the complaint. He also denied the claim of the dancer who stated that he was the father her 8-year-old child and stated that this could be scientifically proved.
Mumbai: CPI(M) Kerala secretary Kodiyeri Balkrishnan's oldest son Binoy Vinodini Balakrishnan has refuted the allegations of sexual assault and rape in the complaint lodged by a bar dancer in Andheri Oshiwara Police Station, Mumbai.
Binoy told media that he knows the woman who filed the complaint. He also denied the claim of the dancer who stated that he was the father her 8-year-old child and stated that this could be scientifically proved.
Stating that this was just blackmail, Binoy also said that she had sent a notice in which she demanded an amount of Rs 5 crore, stating that she allegedly married him six months ago.
Binoy then added that he had lodged a complaint regarding the matter with the Kannur range IG.
The complaint lodged by the woman states that Binoy frequented the bar where the victim worked. He even asked her to quit her job and promised to marry her. The duo shifted to a flat in Andheri, Mumbai which Binoy frequented and he also sent her money regularly, the report stated. In 2018, the woman allegedly came to know that Binoy was married to another woman and confronted him.
It was only after this incident, that she started to receive death threats. Following this, she filed a complaint with the police.
Meanwhile, the CPM central leadership has stated that the party will not intervene in the case. The party also said the issue is not connected with the party and Binoy should face it on his own.
If anyone from the party is found intervening, then action will be taken, said the central leadership.
