The advisory comes hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked his ministers not to make unnecessary statements and urged all citizens to maintain peace and harmony.

The Supreme Court is slated to pronounce the historic verdict on or before November 17, when the incumbent chief justice of India (CJI) retires.
The SC conducted extensive hearing for a period of more than 40 days on a continuous basis in which it heard all the sides.

With a view to maintaining peace, the VHP has stalled the stone-carving work and the artisans have been sent back home. The carving had been going on for the last 3 decades.

The RSS too has appealed for peace. Its leaders along with BJP leaders met Muslim clerics and gave a clarion call to maintain peace in the wake of the court’s order.

Meanwhile, residents of the temple town of Ayodhya are stocking up on essentials like rice and lentils. Some have decided to send their women and children to other safer places. Some others have decided to postpone their weddings to other places.
