Ram Lalla in Ayodhya will soon be gifted khadi outfits by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Basant Panchami

Bengaluru: Ram Lalla in Ayodhya will soon be gifted khadi outfits by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Basant Panchami. They are created by fashion designer Manish Tripathi. Made under the “Project Ramlala”, it encourages use of khadi in our daily life and propagating the use of the fabric.

OpIndia adds that Project Ramlala is part of the ‘Sheher se Gaon Tak’ initiative by Tripathi, who started it amid the coronavirus pandemic after scores of migrant workers migrated back to their hometowns.

The project also has on its list of aims to upskill labourers and artisans to facilitate their earning potentials.

This falls completely in line with Atmanirbhar Bharat or self-reliant India which aims at encouraging local talent and providing them more opportunities to grow.

They Ayodhya verdict:

It was in November 2019 that the Supreme Court of India decreed that the Ayodhya land would go in favour of Hindus. The court also asked the central government to form a trust in 3 months to oversee the temple construction.

The bhumi pujan:

As the entire nation watched, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the bhumi pujan on August 5, signalling the construction of the grand temple.

After the architectural design was prepared and approved, the temple trust, overseeing the construction, announced that the construction would get completed in 36-40 months’ time.

A fund collection drive was also started in the month of January, which will run till the end of February to fund the temple construction.

The total cost of construction is estimated to be Rs 1,100 crore. When reports last came in, the funds have hit the Rs 1500 crore mark.

Ram Nath Kovind, India’s president gave his contribution of Rs 5 lakh for the construction. Other than him, several politicians, cinema celebrities and transgenders too have contributed their might.
