Article 370 scrapped: BJP MLA sparks controversy, says party members can marry ‘fair’ Kashmiri girls

BJP MLA Vikram Singh Saini from Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar district has stated that party workers were excited over the scrapping of Article 370 as it would now enable them to marry Kashmiri girls
 

Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh):  BJP MLA Vikram Singh Saini has sparked controversy while addressing a gathering in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday (August 6). He said that the party workers can now marry Kashmiri girls without fear. He added that the bachelors can now buy plots and get married to Kashmiri girls.

He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had fulfilled our dreams and the whole country is celebrating the move. According to sources, the BJP MLA was celebrating Centre's move on Article 370 with the BJP workers.

“…And the Muslim workers should celebrate here. Get married there. To a fair Kashmiri girl. There should be celebrations. Everyone should celebrate…,” he said.

Rajya Sabha on August 5 cleared the resolution to scrap Article 370 with two-thirds majority, along with another Bill to bifurcate the state of Jammu and Kashmir to two union territories – Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Both were moved in the Lok Sabha, where the Bill was passed with Ayes at 367 and Noes at 67 out of the 424 votes.

Speaking at the event, he also said, PM Modi and home minister Amit Shah have done what Sardar Patel wanted to do. He also asked the party workers to light diyas at home and said it is Diwali today. 

Earlier too, the MLA had created controversy. In February the MLA offered to go to Pakistan with a bomb attached to him to destroy the neighbouring country.

In January he had said that those who feel unsafe in India are anti-nationals and do not deserve to live here. He added that he is ready to attach a bomb to their posteriors and blast the ones who feel unsafe in the country.
