Anand Mahindra applauds Thalassery-Mahe bypass, likens it to a 'skyscraper' on its Side

The Thalassery-Mahe National Highway bypass, stretching from Muzhapilangad in the Kannur district to Azhiyoor in Kozhikode, has garnered attention from Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, renowned for his impactful social media presence. In a recent 'X' post, Mahindra likened the newly inaugurated bypass to a skyscraper lying flat on its side, sharing a captivating image of the 18.6-kilometre, six-lane highway.

Initially appearing as a concrete structure imposing on the natural scenery, Mahindra acknowledged its unique aesthetic appeal. He expressed a desire to cruise down the bypass and admire the beauty on both sides, appreciating the infrastructure's allure. Since Mahindra shared the picture of the bypass, it has amassed over 221,000 views and nearly 5,000 likes, prompting internet users to flood the comments section with diverse reactions.

Users praised the bypass as a testament to India's growing prowess in the infrastructure sector, while others marvelled at its beauty and expressed excitement at the prospect of driving on it amidst picturesque surroundings. Some highlighted how infrastructure can harmonise with the environment, noting the bypass's resemblance to solar panels embedded on a motorway.

The Thalassery-Mahe National Highway bypass includes four significant bridges, a railway flyover, and numerous underpasses and overpasses that extend from Muzhapilangad in the Kannur district to Azhiyoor in Kozhikode. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the bypass on March 11. 

The video serves as a testament to India's growing prowess in the infrastructure sector, garnering praise for its remarkable blend of modernity and natural surroundings. Users express admiration for the stunning sight, with some highlighting it as a shining example of India's incredible progress. The comments reflect appreciation for the unique charm and innovative architectural marvel depicted in the video, showcasing India's evolving landscape under Modi's leadership.
