Air India flight to Frankfurt suffers technical snag, returns to Delhi

The Boeing Dreamliner 787 of Air India flight no. AI-121 was at an altitude of 20,000 feet when it suffered the decompression and had to return to Delhi. Read on for information on the passengers.

New Delhi: An Air India aeroplane on Wednesday suffered decompression. It was flight no. AI-121 of the route Delhi to Frankfurt.

The Boeing Dreamliner 787 was at an altitude of 20,000 feet when it suffered the decompression.

As a result, the plane had to return to Delhi. It had taken off at 2 PM on Wednesday. It returned 30 min after the take-off.

Air India said in a statement it was a technical glitch and the matter is being looked into.

Passengers, who have been accommodated in hotels. They are all said to be safe. They will be resume their travel on Thursday at 6 AM.
