New Delhi: Days after he interacted with thousands of children during Pariksha Pe Charcha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will, on Friday (January 24), meet and interact with the 49 children, who were awarded Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020, in New Delhi.

President Ram Nath Kovind presented the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to these children on January 24.

The 49 awardees are from various states including one each from Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.

These children are winners in the fields of art and culture, innovation, scholastic, social service, sports and bravery.

The central government acknowledges children as one of the most important partners in nation-building. The government gives these awards every year to recognise the exceptional achievements of the children in various fields.

Any child with outstanding achievement in the fields of innovation, academic progress, social service, arts and culture, sports and bravery can apply for the award. Also, any person who knows about a meritorious achievement by a child can recommend this child for the award. A high-level committee selects the winners after careful consideration of each application.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister would also interact with over 1730 Tribal Artists, NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers and Tableaux Artists who are going to participate in the Republic Day Parade in an 'At Home' event later in the day.

Earlier, PM Modi displayed his grasp on social media and said he wanted his 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' interaction with students to be without any filter - a terminology often used on platforms to denote unedited posts and candid conversations.

The third edition of Prime Minister's interaction programme with school students Pariksha Pe Charcha 2020 was held at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi.

During the programme, the Prime Minister answered the questions and interacted with selected students about how they can beat examination stress.
