After gang war on Delhi streets, police officer beaten to death by criminal

According to the police, the sub-inspector was identified as Raj Kumar, who was deputed in the communication unit of Delhi Police and was a resident of Vivek Vihar area of Delhi. 
 

New Delhi: A Sub Inspector of the Delhi Police was beaten to death by a dreaded criminal in Shahdara area of east Delhi after the deceased had taken action against illicit liquor in the area. This incident has come to light a few hours after Delhi saw a gang war in Delhi's Dwarka area on Sunday afternoon. 

These two incidents have exposed criminals who are not only pumping bullets at rival gang members in broad daylight but are also not hesitating in killing cops who are only trying to control the menace.

According to the police, the sub-inspector was identified as Raj Kumar, who was deputed in the communication unit of Delhi Police and was a resident of Vivek Vihar area of Delhi. 

On Sunday, a bad character (BC) of Shahdara area, who is facing charges in 15 cases including a murder case, had a verbal altercation with the accused Vijay Alias Bhura after he got to know that Raj Kumar had made a complaint on the sale of illicit liquor in the area.

"SI Raj Kumar started recording a video after his verbal altercation after which Bhura started thrashing him. He thrashed the cop for an hour and dropped his body on the road and fled from the spot," a police source said.

According to the allegations, the police got to know about the incident three hours after. Raj Kumar's daughter took him to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead. Later, hospital administration informed the police. According to Raj Kumar's daughter, the accused had warned his father earlier as well. She also claimed that the local station house officer is involved in running the racket with Bhura.
