Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath will have to take up the floor test on Monday. The party has spent whopping amounts to ensure its MLAs stay together at a resort in Jaipur

Bengaluru: Monday is the day everyone will be glued to the happenings in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.

Chief minister Kamal Nath will have to prove his majority on the floor of the house.

Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon had asked chief minister to prove his majority.

In view of this development, Kamal Nath has called a cabinet meet and will, in all certainty, discuss the Governor’s diktat.

As of now, the number of Congress MLAs who have resigned stands at 22, thereby endangering the Kamal Nath government to the hilt.

Reports added that 90 Congress MLAs been camping at a posh resort in Jaipur, probably Buena Vista Resorts.

The resort charges literally exorbitantly.

A popular website added that the costs come up to Rs 90,000 a day as it offers the best of comforts. So it is needless to say that the Congress would be spending.

Now these MLAs have returned to Bhopal.

Latest reports add that the Speaker has accepted the resignations of six rebel ministers. Now, the majority mark stands at 113.

Meanwhile, the BJP has issued a whip to its MLAs to be present in the house on Monday.

BJP president JP Nadda is also holding a meeting with MP BJP leaders on the issue.

The crisis in Madhya Pradesh Congress had always been a threat to its existence. Chief minister Kamal Nath and rebel young leader Jyotiraditya Scindia had always been at loggerheads.

The final nail in the coffin was when Jyotiraditya Scindia finally bid goodbye to the grand old party and joined the BJP in the presence of its president JP Nadda.

The BJP then nominated him for a Rajya Sabha seat from Madhya Pradesh.

In all probability, the state of Madhya Pradesh will follow what happened in Karnataka, in which Congress-JD(S) coalition was thrown out due to its own implosion.
