Three unidentified militants and an Indian Army soldier were killed in a gunfight in Zadoora village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama
Pulwama: Three unidentified terrorists and a soldier were killed in a gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on August 29. After receiving information about the terrorists, the joint contingent of police, CRPF and army launched search operations in Zadoora area of Pulwama district on Saturday morning.
During the search operations, the militants hiding in the besieged area fired at the troops. This was met with retaliation by security personnel, triggering an encounter.
The identity of the militants, police said, was yet to be ascertained.
Kashmir Zone Police took to Twitter and wrote,"#PulwamaEncounterUpdate: 03 #unidentified #terrorists killed. #Incriminating materials including #arms & ammunition which. Search going on. Further details shall follow. @JmuKmrPolice."
On August 28, four terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police confirmed that the terrorists have been killed in the encounter in Kiloora area of the district.
Two terrorists have been identified as Shakoor Parray Al Badr and Suhail Bhat.
