The Tamil Nadu Government's Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, Department of Tourism, and Department of Transport have introduced tours such as the Puratasi Spiritual Tour and Aadi Month Spiritual Tour, catering to a significant number of devotees.

The initiative by Pondicherry government aims to attract tourists to Pondicherry by offering a newly renovated City Tour service with flexible boarding and disembarking options. The scheme, managed by the Puducherry Transport Department, features red mini buses operating under the "Hop On, Hop Off" concept. For a minimum fare of Rs. 10 between tourist spots, travellers can purchase a ticket for Rs. 150, granting them access to explore 21 attractions throughout Pondicherry.
The tourist bus departs from the Puducherry bus stand and includes stops at a variety of attractions such as the Botanical Garden, Sacred Heart Basilica, Pondy Marina, Bharathi Park, Aurobindo Ashram, Aurobindo Society Paper Manufacturing Company, and Villianur Annai Church.
Some other destinations include Thirukanjipuram Sri Agatheeswarar Temple, Oussudu Bird Sanctuary, Pondicherry Science Centre and Planetarium, Auroville Matrimandir, Auroville Beach, Kamarajar Manimandapam, Lawspet Abdul Kalam Science Centre and Planetarium, Murungapakkam Craft Village, Arikamedu, Chinna Veerampattinam Eden Beach, Chunnambar Boat House, Thavalakuppam Singirikudi Lakshmi Narasimmar Temple, Thirukanchi Gangai Varaha Nadheeswarar.
