Another example of luxury train travel is the Palace on Wheels. This historic train, operated by the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, is celebrated as a symbol of Rajasthan’s grandeur. Launched in 1982, it represents the pride of Rajasthan, echoing the opulence of the royal trains once used by the British.
The train begins its journey in New Delhi and travels through several iconic cities, including Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bharatpur, and Agra. A ticket for this luxurious journey costs approximately Rs 3,63,300.
