India is known for its vast mountains and the divine Hilamalyan Range. Here are the highest mountain peaks in the country. 

Kangchenjunga (Sikkim)

Kangchenjunga is the third-highest peak in the world with an elevation of 8,586 meters. It is believed to be sacred by Sikkimease people and comes under the Kangchenjunga Conservation Area.

Nanda Devi (Uttarakhand)

Nanda Devi is the highest peak in India, with an elevation of 7,816 meters. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and holds immense sacred value for the population of Uttarakhand, as it is named after the patron Goddess Nanda Devi. 

Kamet (Uttarakhand)

Kamet is the highest peak situated in the Gharwal Region. Kamet is near the Tibetan Plateau and is also a part of the Zanskar Range. 

Saltoro Kangri (Jammu & Kashmir)

Saltoro Kangri is part of the Saltoro Range and is a subrange of the Karakoram Range. It has an elevation of 7,742 meters. 

Saser Kangri (Jammu & Kashmir)

Saser Kangri has an elevation of 7,672 meters. It is located in the Karakoram Range and is known for its challenging trek and harsh climate.
