Kamakhya Temple is located in Guwahati, Assam. This temple is one of the Shaktipeeths of the Goddess. This temple also has tantric significance. Thousands of tantriks gather here on special occasions.

Thousands of animals and birds are sacrificed daily at the Kamakhya Temple. It is also said that at one time human sacrifices were performed here, this practice was later abolished. At present, there is a tradition of sacrificing sheep, goats, fish, and pigeons. 

Although the Kamakhya temple remains open for devotees throughout the year, this temple is closed for 3 days in the month of Ashadha. It is believed that during these 3 days the Goddess menstruates. During this, red colored water comes out of the Yoni Kund located in the temple. Even the priests do not enter the temple during these 3 days. During these 3 days a fair is held here, which is called Ambubachi Mela.

There are many temples of Lord Shani Dev in our country, the most famous of these is Shani Shingnapur Temple. The most special thing about this temple is that there is no idol of Shani Dev here but a 5 feet high and about 2 feet wide stone slab. It is worshiped as Shani Dev.

Another special thing related to this temple is that there is no roof over the idol of Shani Dev here. This statue is situated on a platform under the open sky. It is said that whenever an attempt was made to put a roof over the Shani idol, it could not be successful. Since then devotees are worshiping Shani Dev in this form.

This temple of Shani Dev is located in Shingnapur village of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. It is said that Shani Dev himself guards this village. People do not lock their houses in this village and do not even keep valuables like money in the vault. It is believed that Shani Dev himself punishes whoever steals here.

Karni Mata Temple is 30 km from Bikaner, Rajasthan. This temple is also called the temple of rats. You will be surprised to know that not 1-2 but more than 20 thousand rats live in this temple. This is the reason why it is called the temple of rats. People consider them as devotees of the Goddess.

The prasad is offered to the rats first. People consider this prasad to be even more special and miraculous. The special thing is that till date no one has fallen ill after eating the prasad eaten by rats. 

There are thousands of black rats here, but the number of white rats is very less. Which are rarely seen. It is also said that if a person sees a white rat, then it should be understood that the grace of the Goddess has been bestowed upon him and the troubles of his life are going to end.

There is a famous temple named Bambora in Udaipur district of Rajasthan, which is called Idana Mata Temple. The specialty of this temple is that a fire suddenly breaks out here. It is believed that the Goddess takes a fire bath here at her own will, hence everyone bows down before this miracle of the Goddess.

Till date no one has been able to find out how the fire suddenly erupts in this temple. On Navratri and other special occasions, a huge crowd of devotees visit the temple. 

When fire breaks out in this temple, all the clothes of the mother goddess are burnt. But the idol remains completely safe. This fire is so fierce that its flames rise up to 20 to 25 feet. But still, the safety of the idol of the Goddess is a mystery.

There is a famous temple of Hasanamba Mata in Hassan district of Karnataka. This temple opens only for 7 days in a year on the occasion of Diwali. This temple remains closed for the rest of the year. During these 7 days a huge crowd of devotees pay a visit here.

When this temple is closed, a lamp is lit here after filling it with oil. A year later, when the doors of the temple are opened, that lamp is found burning while a limited amount of oil is poured into that lamp. Till date no one has understood this mystery.

Another special thing related to this temple is that the flowers which are offered to the Goddess here while closing the doors of the temple, are found fresh after opening the doors after a year. That is, those flowers do not wither and their freshness remains.
