Ingredients:

1 liter full-fat milk
1 cup grated coconut 
1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
A handful of chopped nuts 
Saffron strands 
Instructions:

1. First, preheat a heavy-based pan over medium heat. Pour the milk into the pan and bring it to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally to prevent it from sticking to the bottom.

2. After the milk begins to boil, turn down the heat so that it simmers. Continue simmering the milk, stirring occasionally, until it reduces to about half of its original volume. 

3. While the milk is simmering, prepare the coconut mixture. In a separate pan, dry roast the grated coconut over medium heat until it turns light golden brown and releases its aroma. Stir continuously to ensure even roasting.

4. Once the coconut is roasted, add it to the simmering milk along with sugar and cardamom powder.

5. Allow the mixture to simmer for another 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to a rabri-like consistency. 

6. Once the Coconut Rabri reaches the desired consistency and the sugar is fully dissolved, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly.

7. Transfer the Coconut Rabri to serving bowls or glasses. Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron strands for an extra touch of flavor and elegance.

8. Chill the Coconut Rabri in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together and intensify.

9. Serve the chilled Coconut Rabri as a delightful dessert to enjoy on its own or alongside your favorite Indian sweets like jalebi or gulab jamun.
