Sahil Khan was arrested in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, on Saturday, days after the Bombay High Court denied his pre-arrest bail application in connection with the Mahadev betting app fraud.
 

Sahil Khan, a social media celebrity who has appeared in a few films, has been detained in connection with the Mahadev betting app investigation. Sahil, who has a large social media following, was arrested by Mumbai Police for his purported role in the incident. 

It began with a complaint filed by social activist Prakash Bankar in November 2023, saying that various web portals are specifically designed for online betting and gambling on cricket, football, and a variety of other card games. Sahil, a Bollywood actor turned fitness trainer, was one among the 32 people identified in the FIR as accused.

Sahil Khan is a fitness trainer and actor who has been in Bollywood films such as Style and Excuse Me. His career began with a Stereo Nation Nachange Sari Raat song video. Sahil Khan went on to become a fitness specialist, noted for raising fitness awareness and has received numerous honors in Mumbai.

Despite setbacks in his film career, Sahil Khan's impact on fitness remains strong, as seen by his brand Divine Nutrition and gym chain. According to reports, his net worth is between Rs 40 and Rs 60 crore, indicating that he has a diverse business portfolio. Khan's private aircraft ownership contributes to his luxurious lifestyle.

The link between Sahil Khan and the Mahadev betting app issue derives from charges that he promoted online betting platforms, including the Mahadev-affiliated Khiladi Book.
Prakash Bankar, a social activist, filed the complaint, citing several web portals that facilitate illegal betting on sports and card games.

The Mahadev betting app case, estimated at Rs 15,000 crore, represents a significant illegal transaction platform under inquiry by Mumbai Police. Sahil Khan's connection to 'The Lion Book App' inside this network led to his arrest, indicating a bigger investigation into financial misconduct in Maharashtra.
