Chhoti Si Baat actress Vidya Sinha has been hospitalised in Mumbai after she complained of breathlessness
Veteran actor Vidya Sinha is admitted at a suburban hospital here reportedly due to breathing problems.
Sinha was admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu on Thursday. As per a report in an entertainment website, while her blood pressure and pulse rate are normal at the moment, she has been put under observation in Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The report added that she has been kept on PAP (Positive airway Pressure) ventilator.
"She is not well right now... Beyond this I can't comment anything," Sinha's daughter Janhavi told PTI.
As reported by Hindustan Times, doctors say that Vidya is much better, "Her prolonged medical issues had aggravated, leading to breathlessness and she even developed heart and lung disorders, leading to more breathlessness. All that has been taken care of."
The veteran actor is best known for her performances alongside Amol Palekar in "Rajnigandha" and "Chhoti Si Baat" and in mainstream commercial space for "Pati Patni Aur Woh" among others. She has also acted in quite a few TV shows like " Kkavyanjali", "Qubool Hai" and "Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala".
Vidya married her neighbour named Venkateshwaran Iyer in 1968 and later adopted a daughter, Jhanvi. After the death of her husband in 1996, she married Netaji Bhimrao Salunkhe in 2001. According to reports, she divorced him in 2009 also filed a complaint of domestic violence against her former husband.
