After a great start in morning shows, the Amitabh Bachchan-Aamir Khan starrer did not seem to impress the audience and critics
Mumbai: After much fanfare, Amitabh Bachchan-Aamir Khan starrer Thugs of Hindostan (TOH) hit the theatres today.
According to Bolly Inside, the morning broadcasts recorded a very good occupation of 40-60% which is a decent start at par with Sanju that also recorded the morning occupation of 55-60% only to become a hit.
However, going by the social media reviews, that may not be the case for TOH. Veteran film critics took to Twitter to express the disappointment after watching the movie. Critic Taran Adarsh even wrote"All that glitters is NOT gold... Holds true for #TOH."
Gonna need some drugs to get over the Thugs

…: DISAPPOINTING.
Rating: ⭐️⭐️
All that glitters is NOT gold... Holds true for ... Some engrossing moments in the first hour, that’s about it... Formula-ridden plot, screenplay of convenience, shoddy direction are the main culprits... 👎👎👎
Even the netizens could not put up with the massive letdown after watching the movie and responded in the way Twitterati knows the best, through memes. Senior Bachchan seems to have had the worst deal since the netizens took excerpts from his movie and television shows to spin their review.
When you come out after watching Thugs of Hindostan!!

— Name cannot be blank (@LadkaSarcastic)While some relied on the next highly anticipated movie, Zero, to poke fun at TOH. Interestingly, produced on an estimated budget of ₹300 crore Thugs of Hindostan is the most expensive Bollywood film.
