A lawyer on Thursday, October 4, filed a complaint against Nana Patekar, Vivek Agnihotri and two others at the National Commission for Women (NCW) urging the women’s body to investigate the allegations made by actor Tanushree Dutta.

Recently, Tanushree Dutta opened up about her traumatic past and accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of alleged misconduct on the sets of 2008 film Horn OK Pleassss during a song sequence. She had added that when she refused, the producer of the film had hired Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) goons to attack her and her parents.

Tanushree has also accused Chocolate director Vivek Agnihotri of saying abusive things like "Kapade utaar ke naach" (remove your clothes and dance) to her in front of the crew.

In a recent interview, Tanushree said, “I’ve been slapped with two legal notices today. One from Nana Patekar and another from Vivek Agnihotri. This is the price you pay for speaking out against harassment, humiliation and injustice in India.”

Tanushree accused MNS of attacking her car after she walked out of Nana Patekar's song in 2008. A video released by NewsMo, corroborated the actress' account. However, a cameraman working with a Hindi news channel (at that time) was seen smashing Tanushree's car and deflating the tyres of her vehicle.

The complaint was registered at NCW on October 4 to investigate the allegations of sexual assault and molestation charges that were levelled by Tanushree Dutta.

A few eyewitnesses also came out in the open and spoke about the matter in detail. Journalist Janice Sequeira and actor Daisy Shah spoke in favour of Tanushree Dutta and backed her allegations.

A few also deny the allegation made by the actress. An eyewitness recently from the sets of Chocolate, Sattyajit Gamzer, who was an assistant director in the movie, took to his social media handle to deny Tanushree's allegations and revealed minute-on-minute account from the sets of the 2005 film and stated that Tanushree has lied about the entire incident.

Director Vivek Agnihotri's lawyer denied all of Tanushree's allegations against him and in the wake of this controversy, Vivek's lawyer has released a press statement, in which he claimed that all the "allegations levelled against my client Mr Vivek Agnihotri by Ms Tanushree Dutta for misbehaviour and/or harassment are absolutely false, frivolous and vexatious". The lawyer further stated that the "allegations are deliberate and have been borne with an intent to attract publicity and wreak personal vendetta against my client with malafide intentions".

Meanwhile, the actress also alleged that she is getting violent threats from the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), the political party led by Raj Thackeray. MNS has allegedly issued a threat that if Tanushree Dutta were to be given a wildcard entry into the reality show Bigg Boss 12, hosted by Salman Khan, the party will indulge in violence.
