Shah Rukh Khan recently delivered a stirring speech upon receiving the Best Actor award for his portrayal in 'Jawan' at a prestigious event. In a characteristic blend of humor and sincerity, Khan quipped, 'This message goes out to my children and my wife. Jab tak tumhara baap zinda hai, entertainment zinda hai (As long as your father is alive, there will be entertainment),' eliciting laughter and applause from the audience. He also candidly admitted to experiencing self-doubt following the less-than-stellar performance of some of his previous films last decade.

Reflecting on his journey during that period, Khan shared how he took a break from acting, spending quality time at home with his family, indulging in domestic activities like making pizzas and rotis. The unexpected arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic further facilitated this hiatus, allowing Khan to reconnect with his loved ones amidst the global crisis.

However, Khan's passion for filmmaking reignited with the inception of 'Jawan,' a project he threw himself into with renewed zeal. He attributed much of the film's success to director Atlee, whose dedication and collaboration were pivotal to its fruition. Khan extended his gratitude to Atlee and his wife, Priya, acknowledging the sacrifices they made for the film, including relocating from the south to Mumbai for its production.

'Jawan,' which hit screens on September 7 last year, garnered widespread acclaim for its gripping narrative and stellar performances, not only from Khan but also from co-stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, and Deepika Padukone. The film's critical and commercial success, amassing over Rs 1,100 crore worldwide, underscored its resonance with audiences globally.
