The Archaeological Survey Of India has served a notice to the Dabangg 3 team for violating the Ancient Monument and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act 1958 as well as other rules.
Madhya Pradesh: Actor Salman Khan and Dabangg 3 team created quite a stir on social media with their shoot announcement in Indore earlier this month. Khan and his brother, actor Arbaaz Khan took to Twitter to share that the city is their 'birthplace' of sorts. Soon, actor Sonakshi Sinha also joined the team to reprise her role as 'Rajjo' in the movie.
However, the Dabangg 3 cast seems to have courted trouble while shooting at Jal Mahal in Mandu for violating the Ancient Monument and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act 1958 as well as other rules. The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has served a notice to a production firm associated with the movie, ordering them to remove two set pieces constructed inside Jal Mahal. The notice also stated that the film's shooting might get cancelled if the filmmakers do not take any action.
The filmmakers have also been accused of damaging an antique figurine while shooting at a fort on the banks of the Narmada river. Earlier, the cast also courted controversy when photographs of a Shivling being covered with wooden planks during the shoot surfaced on the social media. However, actor Salman Khan later clarified that the Shivling was covered to protect the idol.
We had constructed the perimeter for the Shivlinga and had put the two people on the side to guard it to avoid people from walking on it. We had no intention of hurting anyone's religious sentiments and we have relocated the set.

The film, to be directed by choreographer-filmmaker Prabhudeva, will have Salman reprising his role of Chulbul Pandey, a Robin Hood-like cop. The first part of the series, which released in 2010, was directed by Abhinav Kashyap and actor-producer Arbaaz turned director with part two in 2012. Dabangg 3 is scheduled to release in December this year.
