Social media is abuzz with news of Bollywood actor Rakhi Sawant's wedding to a UK-based NRI. Many pictures and videos of her decked up in the fineries of a newly married Indian woman have gone viral.
In an interview with Spotboye, Rakhi said, "Main darr gayi thi, haan maine shaadi kar li hai. I am confirming the news with you today. His name is Ritesh and he is in the UK. In fact, he has already left the country."
When MyNation contacted Rakhi, she said, "His name is Ritesh who is from the UK and works in Donald Trump's team. His photo can't be shown as it is their office protocol that their identity is not revealed."
"We met through WhatsApp a year ago, and he was a huge fan of me and my work. I didn't see his family, nor checked his bank balance or what his line of work was. I just blindly married him" said excited Rakhi.
According to Rakhi, she is the only one who has married a fan, "This is the first time in India and the world that a celebrity is getting married to a fan. I got married to Ritesh on July 28 in JW Marriott, and it is a love-cum-arrange marriage."
When asked about her future plans, she said, "In 2020 I will have three kids just like Bollywood filmmaker Farah Khan. Right now, I am happy, and Ritesh is my Pati Parmeshwar, we both love each other. We need the blessings of media and fans."
Rakhi stated that she has no plans to shift to the UK with her husband, because she is busy with some major projects for a year.
She also thanked WhatsApp through which she got to meet her husband, "I thank all WhatsApp people, if you were not here, I would still be single and would have never met my husband."
