Petta poster: Simran blushes as she shares screen space with Rajinikanth for the first time

The new poster from Rajinikanth and Simran's upcoming movie Petta, directed by Karthik Subbaraj, was unveiled on Wednesday.

As Rajinikanth's fans eagerly await the release of his long overdue film 2.0, the new poster of his next movie Petta took over the Internet today. 

The latest poster showcases Rajinikanth and Simran Bagga in a romantic avatar, where both are smiling and enjoying the moment while walking together on the crowded street while holding flower pots.

In his latest look, Rajinikanth is looking youthful in a striking handlebar moustache and a traditional attire- white shirt and a mundu. The 67-year-old superstar looks half his age in the second poster. He also sports a smile which will make your heart skip a beat.

 

According to reports, the role of the superstar will be a mix of a classy and massy hero. He will be a hostel warden during the day and a dreaded don at night. Interestingly, this will be Rajinikanth's third character as a don after Kabali and Kaala.  

 

After shooting some portions in Lucknow, Darjeeling, Dehradun, the film crew has moved to Varanasi for a month-long schedule. As per media reports, the film includes a lot of computer graphics for which Prime Focus has been signed up to take care of the VFX. The movie features Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Bobby Simha, Megha Akash, Sanath Reddy and Nawazuddin Siddiqi. 
 

 

Actors Bobby Simha and Sanath Reddy are playing Rajinikanth's sons in the film while actor Megha Akash is paired opposite Sanath. Coming to Vijay Sethupathi, he is playing the lead antagonist in the film while Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music of the film. 

On the professional front, Rajinikanth is currently gearing up for the release of 2.0, which is set to hit the screens on November 29. Directed by Shankar, it stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in pivotal roles.
