Bengali director Kaushik Ganguly and superstar Prosenjit Chatterjee will come together again in Jestho Putro, a film inspired by a story of acclaimed filmmaker Rituparno Ghosh.
Prosenjit Chatterjee said the film will be a tribute to Ghosh, and helmed by Ganguly, winner of multiple national film awards and the IFFI Award in 2018.
Ganguly and Chatterjee will team up again after 'Drishtikone' and 'Kishore Kumar Junior' this year.
"The story idea of the film is of Ritu (Rituparno Ghosh). He had wanted to cast me in the film when I was doing Srijit Mukherjee's 'Autograph' (2010). But, I could not give dates at that time," he said.
Other members of the cast of 'Jestho Putro', shooting for which is expected to take place in a few months, are being finalised.
Ghosh, a recipient of multiple national and international film awards, passed away in 2013.
