The 96th Academy Awards, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, dazzled audiences at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The night's standout was Christopher Nolan's biographical masterpiece 'Oppenheimer,' which clinched an impressive seven Oscars, including the prestigious Best Picture. Cillian Murphy's portrayal of the enigmatic figure J. 'Oppenheimer,' a gripping drama with 13 nominations, swept through the ceremony, also securing wins for Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.), Best Cinematography, Best Editing, and Best Original Score. The film's success was a testament to Nolan's visionary direction and the stellar performances of its cast.

Among the other notable winners of the evening were 'Barbie,' 'Poor Things,' and 'The Zone of Interest,' each taking home Oscars in various categories. Emma Stone's captivating performance in 'Poor Things' earned her the Best Actress award, while Robert Downey Jr. was recognized for his compelling portrayal in 'Oppenheimer' as the Best Supporting Actor. The Best Supporting Actress award was won by Da’Vine Joy Randolph, for “The Holdovers”.
