The Bajrangi Bhaaijaan actor, Salman Khan, shares when writing a diary almost got him into trouble.
Mumbai: Actor Salman Khan may have produced a film called Notebook that helps a couple fall in love and what not, but in his real life, the superstar doesn’t prefer to maintain a personal diary.
Those who are getting curious to learn the reason, here is the answer. “Once I had started writing a diary and wrote all the truth of my life. But after reading it, I realised that some people might be in trouble if these facts are revealed. So, I rewrote it. This time, I found out that the others are getting saved but the way I have written it, I will be blamed for everything. So, I stopped writing the diary from that day,” Salman Khan told MyNation during an interview.

Talking about his upcoming home production, Notebook, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan star revealed that the film was first offered to him for acting. However, he chose not to play the role, because his image has now changed. He said, “Notebook was first offered to me for acting. But now my image has changed, so I decided not to act in it. Instead, I thought of launching a new jodi with the film and selected Zaheer (Iqbal) and Pranutan (Bahl) after auditions.”
Zaheer Iqbal and Mohnish Bahl’s daughter, Pranutan Bahl are not the first screen pair being launched by Salman. Before them, Salman Khan has launched on-screen couples like Aayush Sharma-Warina Hussain (Loveyatri, 2018) and Sooraj Pancholi-Athiya Shetty (Hero, 2015). What advice does the veteran offer to newcomers? The Tiger Zinda Hai star smiled and revealed, “I tell them to stay out of trouble because you never know how will trouble come your way!”
Salman has an acting career spanning 30 years and has also started producing films under his banner of Salman Khan Films (SKF) since 2011. However, the superstar feels producing a film is slightly more difficult than acting. When asked whether he enjoys producing a film more or acting in it, he replied, “Both. However, production is a bit more difficult as you have to keep an eye on too many things at the same time like the film’s music, script, editing etc.”

The actor who has had several huge hits in his career is perhaps still unable to get over the failure of his 2017 production Tubelight where he played the lead. While talking about the film, he said, “Tubelight was not fit for an Eid release. I realised this at that time and even told them not to release it during the festival. Because I knew the story of the film. But nobody listened to me at that time as they were too excited to release the film during Eid and the audience left theatres in tears. Had the movie released on any other normal Friday, perhaps the story would have been different. Now when people are watching the movie on digital and satellite, they are liking it.”
Notebook, a Hindi remake of Thai drama film Teacher’s Diary has been directed by Nitin Kakkar. The love story set in Kashmir is all set to hit theatres on March 29.
