Nawazuddin Siddiqui excited to work with Rajinikanth, gets ready for Tamil debut

Nawazuddin Siddiqui posted a picture of himself rehearsing lines for the Karthik Subbaraj film with Rajinikanth.

Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has started preparing for his first Tamil film, which is with superstar Rajinikanth.

The movie is helmed by Karthik Subbaraj, who is well-known for experimenting with themes and storytelling methods. His recent independent psychological horror-thriller film, Mercury, has also received rave reviews.

Beside Rajinikanth and Nawazuddin, the untitled movie also features Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha and Simran. Nawazuddin is expected to play the role of the villain.

Nawazuddin began shooting for the film on Wednesday and the actor took to Twitter to post a picture from the movie sets. In the image, he is seen rehearsing his lines for the scene and says he is delighted to share the screen with Thalaivar. “Rehearsing my lines for my first Tamil movie #Thalaivar165. Delighted to be working with the Superstar #Thalaivar (sic),” Nawazuddin wrote.

The filmmakers recently wrapped up a schedule in Dehradun and are currently shooting in Chennai. Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music of the film.
