Veteran actor Nana Patekar has finally opened up about sexual harassment allegations made by Tanushree Dutta.

The 10-year-old incident between Bollywood actors Nana Patekar and Tanushree Dutta is out in the open, where the actress said that the actor had tried to touch her inappropriately while shooting for a song sequence for the movie Horn Ok Pleasssse.

Tanushree is hogging the limelight after her shocking revelations that she had been subjected to sexual harassment in the Indian film industry during an interview with Zoom TV.

In an interview, she said that actor Nana Patekar had sexually harassed her on the sets of the film Horn OK Pleasssse in 2008. She also hit out at choreographer Ganesh Acharya for teaming up against her on the sets of the film.

According to News18, Ganesh rubbished Dutta's allegations. He said, “First of all, it’s a very old incident so I can’t really recall everything very clearly. But it was a duet song as far as I remember. Something did happen that day because the shooting was also stalled for over three hours. There was some sort of misunderstanding. But I can confirm that nothing of this sort happened."

On claims against Patekar, Acharya said, “He’s a very sweet person, he can never do that. He is very helpful and he has actually helped a lot of artistes in the industry. He can never do anything like that.”

Now, when Nana was asked to react to the controversy, the actor told Mirror Now, "What can I do about it? You tell me."

When he was asked about being accused of inappropriately touching her during a song sequence, he laughed it out and said, "What does she mean by sexual harassment? There were 50-100 people on the sets with me at that time."

When the publication asked Nana, whether he was going to take legal action against the actress, he said, "I'll see, it's a waste talking. It's wrong for me to talk about this in the media also because you guys will play up anything on it."

Besides Tanushree's shocking claims against Nana, a female journalist named Janice Sequeira, who is an eyewitness of the entire episode, took to Twitter to share her account, which acknowledges the actress' allegations.

In a Twitter thread, she claimed to have been present on the scene when Tanushree’s alleged harassment took place. She wrote that she could back up most of what Tanushree had alleged in her statements.
