Meghan Markle returns to Instagram with a new venture, American Riviera Orchard. No details yet, but trademark records suggest retail offerings

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has made a return to Instagram, marking her comeback to the social media platform after deactivating her personal account back in 2018. The former 'Suits' star seems to be embarking on a new business venture titled the American Riviera Orchard.

The Instagram bio clearly states that the account is managed by Meghan and was established this year. The page predominantly showcases the logo of the new brand, and a glimpse into Meghan's life through an Instagram Stories video displays her engaging in activities like flower picking and cooking in a quaint kitchen setting.

Although the American Riviera Orchard's website and Instagram page don't delve into specifics regarding the brand's offerings, a search in the public trademark database revealed information matching Meghan's new endeavor. According to trademark records, the company behind the brand offers a range of retail items including jams, preserves, tablewares, cutlery, tablecloths, cookbooks, and digital recipes.

Interestingly, the trademark records indicate that the owner of the mark is an LLC with the same address as the office of Richard Genow, who happens to be an attorney for the Duchess.

Prior to her royal wedding, Meghan curated a lifestyle site known as The Tig, which she subsequently shut down before tying the knot with Prince Harry in 2018.

Before her leap into royalty, Meghan was best known for her portrayal of the sharp-witted paralegal Rachel Zane in the USA drama 'Suits,' a role she bid farewell to in 2018. Despite the show's initially modest fanbase, it witnessed a surge in popularity after landing on Netflix, a phenomenon Meghan once described as "wild."

Recently, it was reported that NBC has greenlit a pilot for 'Suits: LA,' a spinoff from the original series created by Aaron Korsh. The pilot, much like the original, is set to feature an ensemble cast, though details regarding the lineup, including whether Meghan or any of the original 'Suits' cast will make appearances, remain undisclosed.
