Harlem Shake, Dab and all the dance moves from the game Fortnite are now passé. If you want to showcase your dancing skills then you need to be on the move and ace the #KikiChallenge also known as the #InMyFeelingsChallenge or the #ShiggyChallenge.

Not every challenge is worth taking. Many accidents have been reported while performing the dangerous shiggy challenge. A woman performing the challenge in Vadodara caused a traffic jam, many others fell into potholes or crashed into poles. Some also got hit by other vehicles while dancing alongside.

So what’s the challenge?
Canadian rapper Drake’s latest release, In My Feelings from the album Scorpion, has triggered the challenge that has gone viral among the millennials. The task involves two people. While one of them is supposed to get out of a moving vehicle and dance to the lyrics of the song, the other person needs to control the car (along with shooting the video) so that both the performer and the driver are in sync.

How it went viral?
Comedian and Instagram sensation Shiggy was the first one to post a video on social media where he was dancing to the tunes in the middle of the road. What followed next was the acceptance of the challenge.
The widespread of the challenge is credited to superstars like Will Smith who went climbing a bridge in Budapest while swaying to Drake’s song. In India, celebrities such as Nia Sharma, Varun Sharma, Nora Fatehi, Kushal Tandon, Bhumika Gurung, Karishma Sharma, Adah Sharma, Regina Cassandra, and Priyank Sharma, among others have shared their videos exhibiting the challenge in their unique ways.

What’s at stake?
While youngsters would go to any extend to seem ‘cool’ among their contemporaries, the risks associated with this challenge can’t be ignored. Not only can it cause harm to the performer, it can also impact the others around. Keeping this in mind, the state authorities have taken up a challenge themselves to warn the youth about it.

The Delhi Police wants youngsters to “Dance on the floors, not on the roads! #KikiChallenge is not worth the fun.#InMyFeelingsKeep #Delhi roads safe for all.

The wittiest of all, UP Police’s tweet declares love for all. “Dear Parents, whether Kiki loves your child or not, we are sure you do! So please stand by your kids in all the challenges in life except #kikichallenge,” read the tweet.
