Kapil Sharma recovering, all set to make a comeback with 'The Kapil Sharma Show'

After falling from grace following several public confrontations and allegedly battling alcoholism and depression, the comedian is on the road to recovery

Comedy king Kapil Sharma is finally set to return to the small screen with a brand new season of The Kapil Sharma Show. Kapil has been on a break for many months now after his last show Family Time With Kapil Sharma, which went off air abruptly and he slipped into depression. He was also facing various health issues, emotional outbursts and professional downfall.

In a statement to PeepingMoon.com, Kapil said, “I can assure my fans that I will be back soon with another season of The Kapil Sharma Show. The show has the same effect on the viewers and we would really love to take it forward. However, it is at a very initial stage.” 

Apart from his TV show, Kapil is also producing a Punjabi movie Son of Manjeet. A few days ago, he took to social media to share the trailer of the movie.

Kapil had gone on vacation with his family and shared a few pictures. His health is better and he's making progress with his health, reports say.

Kapil had quit Twitter following a public meltdown when he accused the press of being biased against him. Now he is back on all social media platforms. 

Earlier at the press conference of Kaun Banega Crorepati 10, Danish Khan, Sony TV's Business Head, talked about Kapil's comeback. He said, "We are definitely in talks with him. He is a hard-working artiste. Sony would be more than happy to have him back."

Kapil Sharma rose to fame with Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma and its follow-up The Kapil Sharma Show.
