The veteran actor said that he will focus on his political career after wrapping up the shoot

Kochi: Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan, who was in Kochi to attend an event, talked about drawing his filmy career to an end.

Currently, Kamal is busy with Indian 2, the sequel to the 1996 release with the same title. According to reports, the movie will go on floors on December 14th, 2018 in Hyderabad. Directed by Shankar, the movie also features Kajal Aggarwal.

In a report published in Deccan Chronicle, Kamal was quoted as saying, "Makkal Needhi Maiam will field candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu. I'll quit acting after the upcoming project Indian 2, the shooting of which is slated to start on December 14."

However, the news didn't go down well with Kamal's fans because he recently announced that he will be doing a sequel to the superhit film Thevar Magan. It looks like Kamal has shifted his focus from movies to politics after launching his political party Makkal Needhi Maiam.
