The rap song from Alia Bhatt- Ranveer Singh starrer has a familiar beat but still packs a punch
Mumbai: It's a hard knock life is a common theme for most rap songs and Doori, the second song from the upcoming flick Gully Boy tells the tale of just that.
While the first track Apna Time Aayega has a more of an aspirational vibe, Doori eloquently speaks about the rat race with lyrics such as- Ab dekho toh hum paas lekin socho kitni doori hai.
The video features Ranveer Singh in a recording room spitting hard-hitting rap verses about the toil that many in the country have to undertake just to feed themselves and their families.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the movie is based on the life experiences of rappers Divine and Naezy. There is also a hip-hop ode to the mothers with a verse in the second half - Meri maa, meri fauji. Meri maa, meri boli, meri lori.
However, we can't help but feeling that we have heard the outro somewhere...our best suggestion? Try Eminem's Mockingbird and see if it fits.
Gully Boy is all set to release on 14th February during the Valentine's Day weekend.
