Actress Yami Gautam, currently in the final trimester of her pregnancy, has opened up about her plans to continue working after childbirth without an extended break. Married to filmmaker Aditya Dhar, Yami shared insights into her support system and her approach to balancing motherhood and her career.
In a recent interview with the Times of India, Yami expressed gratitude for the support of her mother, Anjali Gautam, and sister, Surilie Gautam. Reflecting on her upbringing, Yami credited her mother for raising her with patience and love, recalling fond memories of her playful nature and nurturing approach. When asked about her mother's secret to managing everything, Yami humorously revealed her mother's advice: 'You can’t take notes because it doesn’t work like that.'
Yami also praised her sister, noting Surilie's success in raising her own child and their close relationship. With her family as a strong support system, Yami expressed her intention to return to work soon after welcoming her child, inspired by the examples set by her working mother and mother-in-law.
Acknowledging her career achievements, including recent successes like 'OMG 2,' 'Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga,' and 'Lost,' Yami affirmed her commitment to balancing family and work. She emphasized her confidence in returning to the industry promptly, citing her supportive husband and her belief in the power of a compelling script.
Yami and her husband, Aditya Dhar, are set to collaborate on the film 'Dhoom Dhaam,' marking their reunion after the success of 'Article 370.' Yami expressed her enthusiasm for the project, highlighting her involvement in script evaluation and feedback.
