Singing sensation Ranu Mondal  has not been gifted a flat by Salman Khan nor Himesh Reshamiya has paid Rs 50 lakh to her, says Vicky Biswas, a member of Ranaghat's Amra Shobai Shoitan club who posted Mondal's video. Here is the truth.

Mumbai: The news of Salman Khan gifting a Rs 55 lakh worth flat to Ranu Mondal and music composer Himesh Reshamiya paying her Rs 50 lakh is not true, said Vicky Biswas, a member of Ranaghat's Amra Shobai Shoitan club.

Biswas spoke to IANS and clarified on the issue.

"Two members of our club had shot the video of her song at Ranaghat station, which became viral on social media. Since then, we have been looking after Ranu di. We haven't heard anything about Salman Khan gifting a flat worth Rs 55 lakh to Ranu di. It's fake news that is being spread on social media," he told IANS.

Biswas also said that Ranu Mondal has only been paid to appear on the reality show Superstar Singer. Himesh ji sponsored her trips to Mumbai, but the rest of these reports are fake," he said.

59-year-old Ranu Mondal became a sensation after a video of her singing Lata Mangeshkar's Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai went viral. Mondal has also recorded Aadat and Teri Meri Kahaani for Himesh's upcoming film Happy Hardy And Heer.
