Superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood's action hero Akshay Kumar are said to have had misunderstandings while filming 2.0, the source said.

Last weekend, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar launched the trailer of director Shankar's science fiction 2.0, a movie that is made with the biggest-ever budget in Indian cinema. The multilingual film is shot in Tamil and Hindi, while it has been dubbed in other languages, including Telugu and Malayalam.

During the making of the movie and other occasions, we have seen a cordial relationship between Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar. Both were seen praising each other in media and in public.

According to the Deccan Chronicle, a source close to 2.0 project said, “Akshay sir was very respectful of Rajini sir throughout the duration of the shooting. But there was always a sense of competitiveness. Whenever Rajini sir’s role was highlighted and played up beyond what was in the script, Akshay sir very gently steered the plot back on the track.”

The source also claimed that the film’s climax tended to veer away from Akshay, but the plan was stalled.

That apart, Akshay expressed concern over the addition of ‘Superstar’ as a prefic to Rajinikanth’s name in the credit titles, as Akshay’s name didn’t carry any.

We all know that every Rajinikanth's movie comes with the title 'Superstar' in bold letters with special effects.

Later, as per the source, Akshay gracefully agreed to adding ‘Superstar’ as prefix to Rajinikanth’s name letting the tradition remain.

Coming back to the movie:

The trailer received some great reviews from critics and movie buffs. It has some amazing, jaw-dropping VFX and an intense tug-of-war that will keep you rooted to the edge of the seat. It is a visual treat for all Rajini and Akki's fans.

Produced under the banner of Lyca Productions, the film also stars Amy Jackson, Adil Hussain and Sudhanshu Pandey in pivotal roles. The film is being helmed by S Shankar and the film is all set to release on November 29.
