Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh will be hosting their wedding reception in Bengaluru at this location.
Deepika and Ranveer will both have a Kannadiga ceremony and a Punjabi-Sindhi ceremony as they tie the knot on November 14 and 15. As per reports, Ranveer and Deepika have invited just 30 close friends and family members as they want their wedding to be a private affair.
As per the source, “Since Deepika is a south Indian and Ranveer is of Sindhi-Punjabi origin, the two families decided to follow customs practised by both the communities. A south Indian wedding has been planned for November 14 based on Kannadiga-style rituals. The next day will see the couple solemnise their relationship as per the customs of a north Indian wedding.”
The couple will then be hosting a reception in Bengaluru, Deepika's hometown, for close friends and family followed by a reception in Mumbai for industry friends. The couple will be back from Italy on November 18.
Now, a source has revealed why Deepika chose to have the reception at The Leela Palace Hotel, Bengaluru.
The source said, "The biggest reason why Deepika chose to have the reception at The Leela Palace, Bangaluru was because of the renowned Italian restaurant of New York Le Cirque, which goes by the name Le Cirque Signature. DP loves the restaurant in NYC and their franchise in Bengaluru drew Deepika to The Leela. Her mother has also gone for food tasting 2-3 times. The food will be pre-dominantly south Indian though. They will check into the hotel on 20th and check out on 22nd."
Deepika and Ranveer will reportedly be donning Sabyasachi outfits for their much-awaited wedding. The couple's pre-wedding festivities kicked off in Bengaluru on November 3, 2018, with a Nandi puja organised by Deepika's mother. Ranveer Singh's haldi ceremony took place a few days ago. The couple's sangeet ceremony will take place on November 13, 2018, at Villa Del Balbianello at Lake Como in Italy. They will be hosting a party on November 15, 2018, after their wedding. The couple will host two wedding receptions - in Mumbai and Bengaluru.
