Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's luxurious destination wedding came with a hefty price tag

Bengaluru: Though Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone opted for a private wedding ceremony with minimal guests, they made sure to make it as royal as possible.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married yesterday on November 14 according to Konkani traditions with the priest flown in from India. Deepika wore a Sabyasachi red and gold lehenga whereas Ranveer was dressed in a kurta and mundu.

Their Konkani wedding took place today at Villa Del Balbianello in Italy. The ceremony was 4 hours long and the Indian journalists reporting directly from Lake Como heard chants and prayers.

Today, the Sindhi/Punjabi wedding will take place to honour the ladkewale's traditions. 

According to India Today, the pair had booked all 75 rooms, four restaurants and bars, an al fresco terrace with a complete view of the lake, four conference rooms, a spa, indoor swimming pool and an outdoor floating pool on the lake. In addition, the resort is surrounded by a huge botanical park that covers an area of 26,000 square meters.

The report also stated that the average cost of each room at the luxury resort is close to Rs 33,000, which means the couple is spending around Rs 24,75,000 per day just on the accommodation for their guests. 

As the resort had been booked for a week, the total cost of accommodation is Rs 1,73,25,000. As per a report in Pop Diaries, the couple spent close to Rs. 1 crore for the security arrangements for the week.

12 florists have been brought down from Florence to decorate the venue while chefs have arrived from Switzerland to take over the cuisine department. 

After the wedding, Deepika and Ranveer will host two reception parties – one in Bengaluru and another in Mumbai.

The Bengaluru reception will be held on November 21 at Leela Palace and Mumbai party will be at The Grand Hyatt in Mumbai on November 28.
