The complaint that Rajeshwari Priya, founder of a political party Anaithu Makkal Katchi in Chennai, had is about the use of Amala Paul’s nudity in the posters used for promotion.
Chennai: The founder of a Chennai political party has filed a complaint against the makers of Amala Paul’s upcoming movie, Aadai, for “promoting nudity” and “spoiling Tamil culture”. Rajeshwari Priya, founder of the Anaithu Makkal Katchi, registered a complaint in this regard.
The complaint that the politician had is about the use of Amala Paul’s nudity in the posters used for promotion.
Priya spoke to media regarding the issue and said that she has asked the director general of police (DGP) to take action against the makers of the film. She has also asked the DGP to prevent the filmmakers from promoting the film with posters carrying such images as it will affect children, reports stated.
The politician reportedly went ahead to say that she cannot prevent the release of the movie as it has been approved by the censor board with an ‘A’ certificate. But she said that the promos will be seen by people irrespective of their age and such posters will nurture negative thoughts in young minds.
Priya reportedly raised allegations against Amala Paul and stated that the actress will not care about Tamil culture as she is not from the state. She also added that the actress will do anything for fame and money.
