The actress, who gained popularity in India by doing several shows and movies, accused politicians of taking advantage of the situation without raising a voice for the people of Kashmir. On the other hand, another Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who acted with Shah Rukh Khan in Raees, also critiqued the move of abolishing Article 370. Terming it a matter 'beyond lines drawn on sand', she went on to write, "Heaven is burning and we silently weep."

Have we conveniently blocked what we don’t want to address? This is beyond lines drawn on sand, it’s about innocent lives being lost! Heaven is burning and we silently weep.
