The actor's lawyer shared this while responding to the show and cause notice by Cine And TV Artistes Association

Mumbai: Responding to the sexual harassment allegations levelled under the #MeToo movement, actor Alok Nath's lawyer has stated that the actor denies the accusations.

The Cine And TV Artistes Association (CINTAA ) had served Nath with a show and cause notice after director Vinta Nanda accused the actor of raping her in an emotional Facebook post.

The actor's lawyer told ANI, "Alok Nath has responded to the notice issued by Cine And TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) against him and has denied all allegations of sexual harassment." The notice required Mr Nath to explain why he should not be expelled from CINTAA, which has also promised Vinta Nanda 'full support' in the event of a formal complaint.

He also said that Nanda would be sued for defamation, days after Alok Nath's wife also sued her seeking Rs 1 as compensation.

He has also been accused of harassment and inappropriate behaviour by actresses Sandhya Mridul and Deepika Amin, as well as other women.
