Deafening silence at Congress office as Modi tsunami sweeps India (pictures)

No press conference has been called by the Congress party yet and many senior party leaders remained unavailable at the party office to interact with the media

New Delhi: The Congress party members who had gathered at the party office with drums and sweets anticipating Lok Sabha elections results in their favour returned home as soon TV channels started showing the voting trends. As per the trends, BJP is going to register a landslide victory during 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

All the exit polls had also predicted a thumping victory for the BJP-led NDA in the Lok Sabha polls. As soon the number started flashing on the TV screen party leaders and members left the Congress office. Currently, it looks deserted.

Media persons who had gathered to take party leaders reaction on poll results had to spend their time sitting in the media rooms waiting for the senior party leaders.

Similarly, there was no visual of members of Gandhi family yet. Party president Rahul Gandhi is struggling to secure his seat from Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. According to the latest update, BJP’s Smriti Irani is leading by 5,700 votes in Amethi.
