Here is the complete list of candidates whose names have been announced by the respective parties. Karnataka has 28 constituencies and polls will be held in two phases on April 18 and April 23.
Bengaluru: Karnataka is set for Lok Sabha elections in two phases on April 18 and April 23. The parties have finalised candidates for the April 18 election as March 26 is the last date to file the nominations. However, respective parties are yet to announce candidates for some constituencies that would go to polls on April 23.
BJP is contesting in all 28 constituencies, whereas, Congress and the JD(S) are contesting in alliance. Actors like Sumalatha (supported by BJP) and Prakash Raj are contesting independently in Mandya and Bengaluru Central constituencies respectively.
Constituencies that would go to polls on April 18:
Udupi - Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, Dakshina Kannada, Chitradurga, Tumakuru, Mandya, Mysur, Chamarajanagar, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru North, Bengaluru Central, Bengaluru South, Chikkaballapur and Kolar.
Constituencies that would go to polls on April 23:
Chikkodi, Bagalkot, Belagavi, Vijayapur, kalaburagi, Raichur, Bidar, Koppal, Ballari, Haveri, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere and Shivamogga.
