Asansol: Asansol, which will go to poll on Monday, will not only be a star-studded contest between singer Babul Supriyo and yesteryears actress Moon Moon Sen but will also be a prestige battle between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee who have taken this on their ego to win.

95 per cent of the 1860 booths will be covered by central forces and 50 wheelchairs would be available for the physically challenged voters. There are a total of 526 sensitive booths out of which 188 of them are highly sensitive ones, say sources.
Keeping the violence that is widely anticipated from Asansol, a total of 80 companies of central forces have reached Asansol and will be deployed in booths by Sunday evening.
CCTV will also be installed in many booths. Quick response teams along with paramilitary will be stationed across Asansol.
Voting personnel have already reached the DCRC centre from where the EVM are distributed and the polling personnel have also left for polling stations for different booths.
Special checkings are also being conducted in the Bengal- Jharkhand Border to restrict the movement of antisocial elements. But be as it may, Asansol is going to be a battle where much is at stake for both parties and hence a lot of precautions are being taken.
