Cop's uniform torn off by angry Bihar judge who was stuck in traffic jam

A policeman  deployed for security of a senior judicial officer has accused the Bihar judge of assaulting him and tearing off his uniform in a fit of rage over his vehicle getting stuck in a traffic jam
 

Katihar: A policeman has alleged that a judge of Katihar, Bihar, had torn his uniform in anger. As the judge's vehicle was stuck in heavy traffic, in a fit of rage, he tore his security policeman's uniform. 

Harivansh Kumar, in his complaint filed at the Sahayak police station, Kathihar district, said that the judge Pradeep Kumar Mallik lost his temper when his car got stuck in a traffic snarl at Mirchaibari Chowk in the town while on the way to the court from his residence.

Kumar has also said that the judge in anger slapped him and tore his uniform. The judge also was abusing the cop till the car reached the court premises, Kumar said. According to reports, Kumar saved his life by running away and hiding inside the collectorate premises. The incident left the members of policemen's association upset and they asked Kumar to lodge the complaint. 

After Harivansh Kumar lodged his complaint, a court official also arrived at the police station and lodged a counter complaint. He said that it was the security personnel who had misbehaved with the judge after storming into his chamber.

A high-level inquiry is being conducted into the matter for further action in accordance with the law, police sources said.
